Fern completed her GCSEs and A-Levels at St Ninian’s High School, where she was a Prefect and an active member of several school societies. During her time there, she raised over £3,000 for Rebecca House Children’s Hospice and was recognised with the Community Spirit Award in 2016 — a reflection of the empathy and drive she brings to everything she does.

After receiving an unconditional offer from Liverpool John Moores University, Fern went on to complete her LLB (Hons) in Law, graduating with a 2:1. While living beside Liverpool’s historic St George’s Hall — once home to the city’s law courts — Fern had a daily reminder of where her legal studies could lead.

Fern returned to the Isle of Man after graduation, working as a paralegal at a local firm before joining Quinns in May 2025 as our first paralegal. She is now training as an Advocate and is scheduled to complete the Manx Bar in 2027.

She has a particular interest in civil and family law and is passionate about helping clients navigate complex issues with clarity, understanding, and care. Her early experience in client-facing roles — from waitressing at 14 to working within the legal sector — has given her a natural ability to connect with people from all walks of life and handle every challenge with composure and warmth.
